Data Cleansing

For the data cleansing campaign we charge a one-off fee. This includes the uploading of the data onto our systems and the initial scanning process of the data to assess how clean it is and how clean we can make it. The client then selects from the menu of priced cleanse/update options in order to produce the required level of data cleanse based upon the initial scan results which also enable the costs to be managed within the identified budget. The Redpath Consultancy assists the client in this part of the process with informed recommendations as to the level of cleansing selected.

Itemised pricing for data cleansing is detailed on the attached spread sheet. Typically when data is scanned clients find that between 30% and 70% of their data is still correct, but there will be records where some data is missing or has been degraded. In scanning the data, we can look at what can be replaced and how much of the data needs to be upgraded and replaced with updated information.

Having data cleansing done in this way is particularly efficient resulting in significant time and cost savings. The resulting cleansed database can then be further improved as required through direct calling undertaken by the Redpath Consultancy in order to identify and record more selective, specific contact details, for instance the name of the Courier Buyer Contact, or any additional information and/or contacts that the client may be interested in. The Redpath Consultancy team will personally make the calls to establish and record the requested data and provide a costing based on the estimated hours required at the applicable hourly rate of charge. This combination approach means that the client will gain a list which has the level of detail that they require to successfully complete their sales and marketing activities having been in control of the process from start to finish of the cleansing project.

The Redpath Consultancy also recommends that all data is scanned once a year especially for MPS, TPS and FPS as fines range from £5000 to £10,000 per record can result from an upheld complaint to the Preference Services governing body. Regular database cleansing is recommended and advised.

The Result…Clean data which is safe and reliable to use in future sales and marketing campaigns.
